GCU has built in CAN preset “Ecumaster EMU Black” in General Settings.
Mimic of Ecumaster’s CAN switch board (v3) is one of the easiest methods how to stream basic data to EMU. Of course because GCU is fully flexible on CAN I/O different addresses and formats can be used along with EMU’s user defined custom can RX.
CSWB v3 receive has to be enabled in CAN, Serial -> ECM switch board

CSWB mimic inputs assignment to strategies.
- Gear detection:
- input assignment: Sensors setup -> VSS and Gearbox -> VSS
- input reading calibration: Sensors setup -> VSS and Gearbox -> Gear sensor cal.
- in GCU: assign object

- Throttle blip:
- input assignment: Sport -> Paddle shift
Paddle down solenoid delay adjust blip execution offset. Paddle down solenoid hold off limits blip length. - Tables configuration example
- in GCU : assign object

- Gear Cut :
- input assignment : Sport -> Paddle Shift
- Strategy choice :
- Gear cut – conventional ignition/fuel cut during shift. We prefer to use cuts at high loads for maximum acceleration line performance. In an example above we have cut assigned to Virtual parametric out that activates only if boost is above designed level.
- Rolling start – rolling antilag. Good for flare safety: sets RPM of upshift commence as rev limiter.
- DBW mod – Cut request can be assigned as switch of DBW characteristics table. Idea is to have DBW char 2 table set to lower values than 1 so it would result in DBW opening reduction during shift on desired loads. Also good idea is to set DBW opening schedule on lower gears to improve takeup stability and feel.
