How to integrate SCS Delta ECU with HTG tuning GCU using preset.
GCU uses predefined CAN bus preset to easily integrate with SCS Delta ECU with just two wires connected (CAN-H and CAN-L). SCS Delta ECU definition can be found in General Settings, ECU section. Available from version 1.0.14
HTG GCU can both transmit and receive stream to and from SCS Delta. Preset contains all data required to use GCU FUEL TORQUE MODEL v3 strategy (found in General Settings). Engine torque is scaled in [Nm] and streamed to SCS Delta and used for torque management purposes.
This preset uses closed loop RPM target for UP and DOWN shifts, maximum torque accepted during UPshift as well as other status parameters. Use of DBW mod is not recommended as CAN stream covers all needed information.
Enable SCS preset in general settings and select torque estimation model to FUEL MODEL v3 and fill engine parameters in HTG Suite. In HTG suite, maps, ECU demands -> Cut level % defines maximum allowed torque during the shift (Value * 10 = maxTQ). Value of 25 will result in 250nm allowed, while 100 will result in 1000nm allowed.
SCS team has provided mandatory steps to follow in SCS software. Quote below:
