Dual clutch closed loop take-up strategy adjustment
CL TU for DC strategy can be enabled in General Settings and is the recommended method.
DC CL TU uses 2 tables:
- CL TU strength
- Anti-stall parameters
Both of above tables are located in Take-up maps section
CL TU strength defines take-up clamping force. The higher this value is the more take-up will react to driver input, lower values will cause lighter and smoother reaction to take-up acceleration but will also make take-up happen at higher RPM. Usually around 20 at gear 1, 40 at gear 2 etc. Test which values fit your preferences best. This is also dependent on your DBW tune.
CL Anti-stall uses 3 rows:
- OL/CL Use TU below – defines ENGINE RPM below which CLUTCH PRESSURE will drop to TU mode. This applies to scenario of near stop deceleration (transition from driving to take-up)
- CL start TU – defines minimum ENGINE RPM above which TU can ramp pressure up from CREEP pressure (transition from CREEP to TAKEUP). Usually value a little bit higher than IDLE RPM.
- CL full couple minimum – defines minimum SHAFT SPEED (not engine speed) above which TU can switch to CLUTCH PRESSURE. Usually set to value idle IDLE engine RPM. (transition from TAKEUP to drive)
